Students at the Juanita Sanchez Educational Complex in Providence, Rhode Island worked with their peers at Iskan Al Jamaa in Amman, Jordan to investigate bullying and stereotyping in their communities. They aimed to raise awareness about the impacts of bullying and stereotyping and created a social media campaign. They created posters with facts about bullying and stereotyping to hang in their schools and also asked their peers in Jordan to post the facts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram on May 9th for a 24 hour campaign against bullying.
This student project was created as part of Youth Talk 2014-15, a youth virtual exchange program that connects students in the United States and the Middle East and North Africa. It is run by Global Nomads Group, in partnership with Bridges of Understanding.
