Students at the Bronx Academy of Letters in Bronx, NY worked with their peers at Mahes Secondary School in Amman, Jordan to investigate how to end stereotyping in their community. They first administered surveys to both their school and their partner school to gauge what stereotypes needed to be addressed. After receiving the results, they created an awareness campaign and took action by making shirts at their school debunking these stereotypes so their community may see the impact of stereotyping.
This student project was created as part of Youth Talk 2014-15, a youth virtual exchange program that connects students in the United States and the Middle East and North Africa. It is run by Global Nomads Group, in partnership with Bridges of Understanding.
