The students at Hingman High School in Hingham, Massachusetts, USA investigated the important issue of Islamaphobia in collaboration with Al-Hassad School in Amman, Jordan. Together they created an awareness campaign: Students wanted to increase people's knowledge of and tolerance for Islam and Muslims in their community. The students prepared a video public service announcement that interviewed members of their community and students from their partner school. They also visited a local mosque to increase their own appreciation for the Islamic culture.
This student project was created as part of YouthTalk 2016, a youth virtual exchange program that connects students in the US and the Arab World. It is run by the Global Nomads Group, in partnership with Bridges of Understanding.
