Getting to Know Afghanistan

The students at Avon Grove High School in Pennsylvania, USA worked with their peers from Skateistan in Kabul, Afghanistan, and created a cultural exhibit about Afghanistan to address the lack of knowledge about Afghanistan in the US. They also focused on the problem of stereotyping in their community. This student project was created as part of Global Citizens in Action 2014-15, a youth virtual exchange program that connects students in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and North America. It is run by Global Nomads Group, in partnership with PEACE in Pakistan and School of Leadership, Afghanistan (SOLA).
