Students at Ramsey High School in Ramsey, USA, worked with their partners in Tunisia to investigate the rise of global terrorism. Students from these two countries carried out extensive research on each other’s cultures and politics. They found that other than the visible cultural differences, they also shared similarities such as their stance on global terrorism. One of the participants from Ramsey says, “This experience has been valuable because we developed an understanding of how different their lives are from ours. Through this understanding, we got closer to people across the world and identified the struggles of foreign interactions.”
This student project was created as part of Youth Talk program, a youth virtual exchange program that connects students in North America and the Middle East and North Africa. It is run by Global Nomads Group, in partnership with Bridges of Understanding.
