Students at the Al Fata Al-lajea A School in Jerusalem, Palestine worked with their peers at Saint Mary's School in Raleigh, North Carolina to investigate recycling and preserving their environment through art. They took action by creating recycled art gardens in their perspective schools utilizing items that you can recycle to create art in a space on their school campus that was previously blank. In addition to creating the art gardens, they raised awareness by creating this short video and showcasing it to their peers at school.
This student project was created as part of Youth Talk 2014-15, a youth virtual exchange program that connects students in the United States and the Middle East and North Africa. It is run by Global Nomads Group, in partnership with Bridges of Understanding.
