The students at the Berkshire School in Sheffield, Massachusetts, USA investigated the important issue of water and energy use in collaboration with the Arabian Pearl Gulf School in Bahrain. Together they created an action project about the reduction of the issue, and the students have stated the following in regards to the problem and their project:
“We created this project because sustainability is an integral theme at Berkshire School, and so we looked to further that into a competition. It worked well with our partner school's project because they were also engaged in a project about sustainability as well. The goal was to reduce water and energy use in the dorms through a school-wide competition.”
This student project was created as part of YouthTalk 2016, a youth virtual exchange program that connects students in the US and the Arab World. It is run by the Global Nomads Group, in partnership with Bridges of Understanding.
